WSET WINE COURSE - ANCHOR STAFF MAKE THE GRADE

A huge congratulations to members of our fantastic staff who have completed the Wine & Spirit Educational Trust course LEVEL 2. This is a globally recognised education and qualification in wines, spirits and sake for professionals. Through a combination of tasting & theory they have explored the factors that impact style and quality, and can confidently describe the wines.

The Anchor specialise in beautiful wines from around the world, including some organic and biodynamic, as the owners have forged strong relationships with some of the best producers in the industry.

RETURN OF THE YORKSHIRE PIZZA MAN!

Our fantastic hand-made, wood-fired pizzas are back. Jami (the pizza man) is back with great dough and toppings for you to enjoy - including The Anchor classic- Margherita, Mushroom & Baron Bigod, Diavolo, & Anchovy & Olive.

Our Eritrean Summer Team

During the Summer of 2022 we teamed up with Volunteering Matters in Suffolk, and trained up four young men from Eritrea. They learnt how to work in the restaurant, bar and kitchen, honing their skills for future employment. Now they are at college in Ipswich and we hope they will join us again in the holiday period. We are pleased that one young man, Ahferon stayed on with us and continues to work with us at weekends.
